Welcome to Mtnpride.com, the website of Troy Lynn Pritt, creative writer. On this site you will find some of my short stories, some of my sermons, a description of my first book, Troy Wye Pritt In His Own Words, and my biography.

The book is unique in that it is oral history preserved in printed form. One of the pages on this web site describes the process by which the twenty-four audio tapes recorded by Troy Wye Pritt were transcribed, edited, and put into the form of a book. This website is intended for use by those who may be considering purchasing the book, editors who may be considering publishing an article or short story which I have written, or friends who want to be able to read one or more of my short stories or sermons.

My experience and training as a creative writer includes writing sermons for nearly forty years, about a half dozen articles for ARP – the Associate Reformed Presbyterian magazine, a six page article, “Wye Plummer Pritt – Fifty Years As A Trackman” in the Winter 2005 GOLDENSEAL magazine, two short stories which were published in “Between The Lines”, a college literary journal. In addition to a B.A. from University of Maryland, a M.Div. from Reformed Episcopal Seminary, and a D.Min from Erskine Theological Seminary, I completed a correspondence course in Fiction Writing from Writers’ Digest School, and two semester courses in Creative Writing at University of Arkansas – Monticello.
